Wire EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) is a type of machining that uses a thin electrode wire. This method is primarily used for hardened metals or those that would be impossible to machine with traditional machining techniques. Our Wire EDM services can be used to cut small, intricate, sharp cornered, one-of-a-kind patterns and contours and is capable of 2-axis and 4-axis taper machining. EDM machining only works with materials that are electrically conductive and generally those materials are ferrous alloys.
